The Amplitude Modulator is a low frequency oscillator (LFO) controlled VCA (voltage controlled amplifier) tremolo. 

It utilizes a class A VCA that can boost or cut your instrument’s signal depending on the CV (control voltage) value coming from the LFO, kind of like a conventional tremolo but not exactly.

Eight separate selectable waveforms and tap tempo function mean you can create many classic tremolo sounds but also have the ability to experiment with other waveforms more typically found in modular synthesizers.

Other controls allow the user to vary the depth or intensity of the effect and also the rate of the modulation, which ranges from extremely low frequencies (0.05Hz) up to 300Hz where you can achieve sounds similar to a ring modulator. Pseudo delay-like effects can also be achieved by using the ramp setting at lower frequencies.
